Twenty drink mobile order during a massive rush. It was picked up an hour later.

“we are not a catering service”

I’m having trouble understanding this statement. Are you speaking on behalf of your own opinion or for the company? If the company shouldn’t be treated as a catering service then why does the store manager not have the authority to revoke such orders or apply a limitation to the service itself?

Also, didn’t McDonald’s cater for the White House during the pandemic, I mean - custom orders are a thing. There’s always an exception but if I called any fast food delivery service they would be more than happy to provide batch orders with enough lead time.

Also - the app doesn’t have a “will pick up at” option so I mean, couldn’t have been the case they waited an hour to provide the baristas ample time to prepare?
