does anyone else hate this job but find it incredibly hard to work anywhere else?

I hate that we aren’t guaranteed hours. The union busting and all of the anti-union meetings we’ve been having is also disgusting.

But I agree. I’m still newish. As a 22 year old college student, this is the best job I’ve ever had. I love my coworkers, my managers aren’t terrible (a little micromanagey and petty at times but I’ve had worse), I love making drinks, and I love the free drinks. I’m someone that gets overwhelmed easily, but like I prefer the stressful and fast paced environment because, like you said, days go by so fast. My last “favorite” job had so much downtime and was super lax, and I ended up leaving because my 10 hours shifts dragged and it was boring. The culture here is nothing like I’ve ever had before, and I really like it. The pay, while not the best, is great for me. With the raises, I can actually afford to work part time while I go to school full time. I’ve never been able to do that anywhere.

Corporate is gross and could be 10x better, some of our goals (such as drive times and customer connections) shouldn’t be pushed as hard. I’d like it if I could get a little more hours while I’m not in school. Other than that though, this is a really good job if you get in at a good store imo.
