I graduated from a VERY wealthy Dallas Highschool and we still had all this stuff. The kids were all rich, so they were able to buy whatever drugs they wanted. Weed was everywhere, not really a big deal, but harder stuff often got passed around as well, everything from molly to acid, DURING CLASS.
We had everything a typical high-school had. Fights, stabbings, distasteful practical jokes such as putting a dead pig fetus from biology class in the tea dispenser at lunch or electing a paraplegic special needs kid as the prom king because they thought it was funny he wouldn't be able to dance with the prom queen. We even had a few kids bring guns to class and make "hit lists" and were shut down at least once a year due to bomb threats.
The most notable thing that happened was straight out of a degrassi episode or something. Being Wealthy, these kids had some very nice cars, notably this guy (Lets say Josh) with a brand new stage 3 Rouche mustang. This kid was really into a girl who was dating the popular kid in school (Zach). After some attempts to catch her eye, he finally succeeded and stole her heart from Zach, typical high school romance right?
Anyway, things were going smooth for Josh, until about 2 weeks into the dating relationship. Zach gets jealous and decides to retaliate. After school one day, he steals a jug of acid from the chem class, think a gallon breaking bad style beaker of HCL or something. So he takes this stuff and pours it all over Josh's Rouche Mustang and just waits there to taunt the guy. In minutes, the car was trashed, the paint was running down the side of the car like water and the plastic bits were all warping and deforming.
Eventually Josh strolls up and finds his car in ruins with Zach sitting there verbally taunting him, "you stole my girl, blah blah whatever". This started a fight in the parking lot between the two and Zach was getting some good punches in, he pretty much had it won. They finally break it up and Josh slinks off to his car and immediately starts trying to run over the popular kid in the parking lot. This kid gets clipped a couple times, breaks an ankle but manages to pull himself into his car (A BMW M3), which immediately gets rammed by the Mustang. Zach then gets out, pulling a gun he kept in his center console and shoots the guy 5 times killing him in the parking lot. He never ended up going to prison or anything either, he got some top notch lawyers and ended up getting off on self defense, partly because he was a minor at the time... He was back in school by the next year and was basically a "Legendary Figure" that nobody wanted to talk to but everyone knew.
This all happened in a 5A top tier high school. Literally the best high school in the region and it still has problems like this... Kids are just stupid, especially if they have money.
