OP here. This source is dubious at best. There seems to be quite a bit of conversation regarding how accurate this story is. I assumed that it was correct based off of the fact that a major publication claimed these were direct quotes from a political party candidate and if that was wrong the lawsuit would be of a magnitude most of us can't even imagine.

I admit I posted this because that title is juicy and I thought I could reap karma no one else has exploited.

Regardless of that, I can only assume that The Independent stands by these quotes and context. If they don't anymore I will delete this post.

Maybe my title should have been about Castrating men who have been prosecuted. Maybe it should have been about homophobia. Maybe it should have been about the fact that a grown woman equated homosexual thoughts with the idea of wanting to be fucked by a gorilla. Regardless you are all reading this because the thought of a public servant admitted that they've thought about what sexual attraction to zoo animals means to them and others.
