I'm a sucker for Need For Speed games, played since the first one. Until about Most Wanted they weren't out like yearly and most of the time they could be fixed with some command line or editing something.

Nowadays they are like made, boxed and shipped, you then get to play the basic game and have to pay for extra shit say cars or missions or whatever that it seems to me are already in the base game. Patches? Probably one or two in the first few months and then they are forgotten probably in favor of making a new one.

I'm with OP here, I just learnt to just wait since GTA V. Nothing comes that to me grants an instant buy because hype (that game with Keanu Reeves comes to mind)
