Union calls for firing of The Royal manager for alleged holiday travel

A relative of mine was recently moved to The Royal, after months in another healthcare facility, several of which they were not allowed visitors due to covid. In the fall, the facility began to allow visitors (with precautions ofc) and it made a huge difference for my relative. Two months after being told they'd be moved to the royal, they were this week transported there and despite multiple negative covid tests, they are in isolation for 2 weeks upon arrival at the Royal as a covid precaution. They are confused and very upset because they got moved from one place that they were familiar with and had a routine and visitors etc, to now being in a shitty isolation room with a bed and a tv in a new place and little understanding of what's going on. I get that safety and pandemic precautions are important, but yeah it's pretty upsetting to hear that patients are in shitty isolation situations for simply being transported from one healthcare setting to another within the same city, but a manager is travelling internationally for the fun of it and getting special treatment to WFH and chill unlike other staff.
