Don't try to reason with these idiots. Our dumbass society already has it's mind made up that under 18 automatically = child, and over 18 automatically = not a child. They see this shit in very black and white terms, not taking into consideration that the age of consent changes across nations, cultures, and time periods. Sure seems like an intrinsic, biologically fixed thing, huh? /s

I do understand why such laws exist, because we obviously don't want to have much older people taking advantage of the naivete of younger people. But for the love of God, acknowledge that these lines of consent are ARBITRARY. Just because the laws in our current day and age have set a certain standard for adulthood does not necessarily mean that bodily and hormonal changes don't happen well before then.
