Unpopular opinion (and I work in healthcare). $1200.00 should not go to essential workers. We are fine. Others aren’t.

It's so painful to see the general public try to talk about what's wrong with ahs. My partner is a nurse, so I have at least some insight. 100% agree with you, people complain about how much money nurses make with OT, but the reason they're getting paid OT is because there's not enough staff available to cover the workload. They don't even have to worry about benefits and whatnot, just hire more casual nurses, they get nothing but a hourly wage.

The ceo of AHS has something like 100k employees under them and their salary of 700k is seen as a part of the problem.

I'm not sure why I read this thread, I'm just mad now. Tax cuts to oil companies that then went and laid people off anyway, bought back shares and in general did nothing to grow their business should be seen as the problem.
