I don't disagree, I am just saying that using that quote by Peterson doesn't really fit here, unless you are against free speech.

And to plays Devil's advocate a bit further, we don't know yet, if the game will see any significant financial damages because of this controversy. For all we know, the controversy might get some people interested that previously didn't care about The Last of Us at all, and so balance out the sales lost to people unhappy with the leaks. I am sure that the shareholders will hold Niel accountable for the success or failure of the product once the sales figures come in, and react accordingly.

Furthermore, there is a good chance that the media will be entirely on the side of the game, and will probably be praised as something truly innovative and different. So unless the majority of gamers will be unhappy with the game overall after playing it, they will probably do just fine. And honestly even with some parts being disappointing, I could see the average gamer still envying the game overall, because technically the game is brilliant, the game is long, and by the end credits they might not care about as much about the disappointing parts, especially if you get the revenge at the end yourself as Ellie.

All that said, I have to clarify, I am obviously not happy with the direction this game this game is taking, but I also think it could be a bit overestimated how much of damage Neil will actually do financially (and that's the bottom line that matters to the higher ups).
