[USA] [OC] Cut off twice in ten seconds

They don't have time to wait

They did wait though. How long do you expect someone to wait without going.

If you pull up to a stop sign where someone is already stopped and wanting to go perpendicular to you, are you then held hostage at that stop sign indefinitely if they don't move? Or after some time if you don't see them move, do you think it's reasonable to go?

It's the same case here. Sure they could have given more time, but all I am saying is that it looks like they said to themselves "Oh he got cut off, but now he will go again. No? I guess he's too focused on being cut off, so I'll just go if he won't." If you couldn't start moving again that quickly that's great and all to say, but everyone has seen trucks able to stop and start reasonably (even if with slow acceleration) so it's something that probably didn't cross their mind.

Or maybe they didn't even know what you were honking at, perhaps thinking you needed more room to clear the intersection, or warning people that you were in the oncoming lane. To add to the confusion, you never actually stopped at the stop sign right as you got to the intersection AND you could have completed the turn even with the first car going, but instead you stopped and honked. I'm sure that added to their confusion. Don't get confused, I'm not at all arguing if it's the right or wrong thing to do. I'm just pointing out that the others could have easily been confused by it because if you wanted to make the turn without stopping there as you did, then you could have just gone without hitting him quite easily.

The whole point of my initial comment was to take a guess at what the second driver was thinking, which seemed pretty harmless.

but this sub hates it when there isn't someone to blame.

Why is it about blame? It seemed like a very innocent situation which could easily be misunderstood by all the drivers as I explained. Nothing wrong with that, it happens when people encounter uncommon situations like this.
