That “hive mentality” is called being a decent person who doesn’t wish death upon others. I don’t support criminals, however the optimum outcome of this would have been for them to be caught and arrested, no living being deserves to die because you deem their life to be worth less than yours simply because they were likely raised in circumstances which lead them to a life of crime, whereas you were fortunate enough to have possibilities which allowed you to avoid that kind of lifestyle. Its more of a hive mentality to automatically jump to “they deserved to die” rather than think deeper into the situation and use empathy. However, judging from your profile and username you are likely a 30 year old man living in his parents basement or an immature 15 year old, passing judgement on others without using much higher brain function because you can hide behind the anonymity of a computer screen, making it easier to just troll, so really any attempt at engaging any actual intellect out of you is futile.
