[Video] Justin Wren is coming back to MMA after 5 years. He will be fighting in Bellator to raise money and awareness for the plight of the Pygmies.

I disagree. His name and face are synonymous for this cause. His famous viral video is centered around the African kids seeing a white man (him) for the first time. His outreach in Africa has propelled him to heights of fame that his mediocre fighting career can't begin to compete with. He's been on late night talk shows (Fallon maybe?), he's been on JRE twice I believe, and he clogs the UG and other boards with thread after thread of his exploits while his supporters worship him and give him praise/thanks. He is front and center in everything he does, intentional or not.

I understand his need for funding, but everything about the cause relates to him... his fighting career, his adventures, his encounters, his beliefs, his attitude. Everyday I have friends that goto the boys and girls club, tithe to their churches, anonymously donate funds online, and work at soup kitchens. Last Thurs., a large group of my friends helped a needy camp for adults with Down's Syndrome. However, none of them were on Facebook boasting with their faces front and center.

Whether intentional or not, he's become his own personal Jesus. He thrives on praise and receives it abundance everywhere he goes. It's neat that he's helping African kids in some remote village but that doesn't do much for the hordes of kids that'll go hungry in my state tonight. However, it sure does sound cool and makes for great social media pictures/posts. He wouldn't get much attention if he was in the Appalachians or here in Mississippi helping. It just doesn't haven't the adventure aspect and supporter appeal as the exotic remote villages. Also, the kids here are already Christian so he wouldn't be able to be their prophet.
