Yes, you absolutely can blame them. "It's just business" has been an excuse that has justified a litany of misconduct and injustices throughout history.

"I own 25 houses that I rent out and can afford to buy a house at 30% above asking because I know I'll make it back when I gouge renters and push others out of the market."

No, fuck that. I absolutely do hold it against people who insist on buying up single-family homes in order to play landlord. There are people who want to buy that home for their families. But, no, greedy pieces of shit have to have their "rental empires" so they can feel like the next Donald Trump (though, why anyone would want to be him is beyond me).

So, no, it's not just business. It's personal.
