I know this is a free for all thread but I gotta say something serious.
First of all, I'm a regular on here but that's all you need to know as of now. So this isn't a stupid throwaway.
These past few weeks there has been a rising in negative post. There was one literally titled "self harm."
That shit doesnt fly with me.
What this account is, is a way for someone to vent. If you suffer from PTSD and don't feel safe, you can message me. If you suffer from depression, you can message me. If your PSG called you a fat ugly cow, you can message me and tell me how much you hate him/her.
Why should you trust me?
Plain and fucking simple, I've been in an institution for depression and suicidal thoughts. I know first hand what goes on in your brain, how your acting.
"But hey, that's not PTSD! You can't help me."
While I was there, I was with someone who had severe PTSD. I kept it to myself, but I studied his reactions, his triggers, his normal everyday attitude. I learned how to treat it. if it's a worse case scenario, then I have contact with people who can help. It won't be your direct line, or your family member, but there are people out there in all states/countries who are willing to help someone suffering.
I'm not a Chaplin, I'm not a Chaplin assistant, I haven't deployed, I'm just your regular Joe.
We bicker like idiots, we fight like siblings sometimes, and other times we flat out hate one another. In the end, we're all here together and we have to take care of each other.
I will frequently check the messages, and this is 100% confidential. The only time you'll see this account is probably in a free for all thread every now and then reminding people.

L'EDIT: By "taking IDF" I mean I walked into green beans as they were locking up. "Are you closed?" "Yes, Sir... we just took incoming" "Oh, huh. By the time the threat was terminated (the god voice always says that so satisfactory, like it was he who single handedly saved us) it was too late to get that protein in my system because since I'm deployed I'm a fitness expert and bodybuilder.com says I have 15 minutes to get protein in me after a workout.
