What are the five most important issues for you personally in the upcoming Federal Election?

Millennial Male, Vancouver, Doing fine understand current structure, pro-business, Centre to left of centre:

This applies to every girl below; but a LONG TERM approach/vision to this country.

Environment: a government that recognizes the massive issue we have ahead of us, and works to protect one of Canada's greatest global strengths - our national parks, and acres of untouched bountiful nature. Diversification of economy: we needs to start investing in emerging industries, not just "tried and true" industry such as oil and gas, and automotive. This also applies to diversification of trading partners. Government transparency: current regime makes me feel uneasy with their media approach, and bill C-51. Investing in infrastructure and transit: this is a big one, and an area Canada is falling behind on on a global scale. Legalizing Marijuana: unfortunately I think we will probably have to wait for more dominos to fall in the U.S. to not tarnish our border relationship. But seriously, who doesn't know at least 1 person who smokes pot and is not a deadbeat violent criminal? A better approach to minimum wage, and income inequality: IMO raising minimum wage is not the answer (as simple supply/demand economics would indicate, and it hurts small business. But we do have a serious income inequality problem in this country that needs addressing.

Current outlook on 'the big 3', please feel free to prove me wrong:

  • CPC: used to be a fan, they feel very big brother and authotarian to me, taking this country in a direction I do not feel comfortable with now.
  • LPC: I honestly thought this is who I would be voting for this year, but Trudeau and company are proving to not have much substance to their policies. He also says some things (that feel very un-thought out) to the media that make me shake my head, and makes me wonder if this is an indication of future performance on a global stage.
  • NDP: They think money grows on trees to support their social programs, still remember their poor-management of BC back in the 90's, and I am unsure if they are worth the risk.

Feeling very worried about any prospects for this country over the next decade.
