What are some good song covers?

I love covers, remixes, and mashups. It's easily my favorite stuff to listen to. I think a cover should be more than a rote recitation of the original, and I love it when a cover artist changes the genre.

I'll do some acoustic stuff to start off.

Boyce Avenue do amazing covers, but they make little tweaks to kind of change any song they do to fit their style. Like Only Girl in the World as an acoustic power ballad about a man promising to forever love a woman, or getting Kina Grannis to join them so they can make Tracy Chapman's Fast Car into a duet. There are dozens of them.

I like Igor Presnyakov's covers quite a bit too. His Fade to Black or Fear of the Dark are my favorites. I particularly like how he took Metallica's suicide anthem and, with only changing a couple words, made it this amazing "fuck you bring it" type song.

Pedro Javier Gonzalez (one of the masters of flamenco, I think, easily up there with Paco and di Meola) just owns Sultans of Swing.

Here's DJ Gollum doing a dance remix of Alice Cooper's Poison.

And Will Leffert rocking out with an electric guitar cover of Lux Aeterna, the Requiem for a Dream theme. If you're only going to listen to one, this one's amazing. I don't know who this dude is, but this is some shit that will elevate the heart rate. Also appropriate here is funtwo playing JerryC's arrangement of Pachobel's Canon in D.
