What are some non-obvious benefits of private school over public school?

The excellent blue blazer with a beautiful patch that only cost a little more than $180K for the privilege to wear. Also the superior quality of the education was very noticeable in college. I had a meeting with the dean of my college the second month my freshman year about the waste of my time, my dad's money, the college's resources and how I was considering leaving. He went about how uneven the balance was between public and private education and how most of the students hadn't had the opportunities that I received and I should have some patience and enjoy myself. I just said that I have already spent four years enjoying myself in boarding school and just wanted to to learn what I don't know and not have to reread books from tenth grade. He then said that credits need to be earned to move forward to the next level. Then he went into a talk about the new library that was to be built and how great it was going to be. I just thanked him for his time and said I'll be discussing all my options with my dad. I left that school five days later and attended a new college second semester and graduated early. So I did enjoy myself for a while those months but not in college and my dad got a full refund on the tuition he had already paid. I did have to write a long letter to my next school to be reaccepted.
