One of them is happening right now: NCIS. I go back on Netflix and look at the old shows, and the difference is blatantly obvious.

I still watch NCIS, but I’m kind of like a loyal grandson, sitting by his grandpa’s bed, knowing that, even though I love this guy and all he’s meant to me, it will be a real blessing to both of us when he finally quits struggling for breath and lets go, and is at peace.

This was one of the best shows on TV. Now it’s a pain to watch. Nick Torres and Ellie Bishop would be a great team on a comedy show. Nick is a boring stereotype who no longer even gets good lines. Ellie was a brilliant addition when she came to the show, but some story runner has “dumbed her down” to the point I really can’t figure out what she’s useful for.

Come on, CBS. Pull the plug. This show is on life support.
