Sequencers. Oh lordy what a journey.

I went through on board sequencers, Korg SQ-1, Arturia BeatStep Pro, Novation Circuit, Zaquencer (Behringer BCR-2000), Korg Electribe 2S, Elektron Digitakt and many combinations of those pieces of gear for a couple years. Every new purchase I thought to myself “This will bring it all together - I dont need to buy something expensive. The Social Entropy Engine or Sequentix Circklon are what I really want and they are unavailable anyway”.

I had finally had enough with having to come up with creative solutions to the lack of basic sequencer options - and then my beloved BCR-2000 died - so I decided to sell my Digitakt and get an MPC Live.

It only took a few days to realize my mistake. I didn’t care about the pads - I don’t want to finger drum - I should have just bought an iPad.

I sent the MPC back and did one more round of research. It was perfect timing, SuperBooth 2018 vids started popping up. I found exactly what I had been looking for all this time - The Deluge. It was love at first sight and I had MPC money burning in my hands.

We lived happily ever after.
