What are your opinions on the "new" reddit?

Its good for phones, which doesn't matter since Reddit got an official app a while ago and for desktop the new UI is pretty trash it may look "nicer" to some people, but functionally it takes more steps to do things.

I'm honestly surprised they're changing the layout now, after many people have already joined, so it not like they're going to attract more new people to the site whether or not they change the UI. They'll probably just scare away the loyal old followers if they keep this up.

If they were going to update the UI to attract new people the right time was a few years ago. And also the people who would actually care about a redesign are already using the Reddit app mostly and don't really care about these changes.
