What are your thoughts on the normalization of sex work to the point of it that it became a common form of income?

I would like to know if there are people choosing sex work with conscience, or is it because they don’t have a chance to make a decent living in their country because they are women? Did they have the education and do they have a choice? If they could make as much money doing IT work or something else, was it their dream? Is this the job that REALLY makes them happy? Was there a childhood trauma, abuse, something in the past that makes them THINK they like it? To be honest, no, I don’t believe anyone can choose this over a job at an office. I’m not talking about Instagram escort, who receive luxury good and living as ‘sugar babes’ at 5 star hotels. I’m talking about a person who doesn’t choose her clients and might not speak openly about their job. Etc Honestly, I don’t have an opinion because I don’t have enough information. It’s the same as having kids or marrying someone and becoming a housewife. Was is your real choice or imposed by the years of patriarchy/social pressure, all the books, TV, information we consume? Is that what you really would do given a choice? I think it’s important.
