I have never felt so out of touch in my life. When I was in college in the 90s it was literally routine for friends to sometimes hook up. The phrase "friends with benefits" was not invented yet, but people had sex outside of commitment all the time. I would say the majority of college sex was causual.
Is this not a thing now? I don't get the outrage. I had female friends ask if I was interested in hooking up that I didn't want to hook up with so I politely declined and it was no big deal. I remember asking one girl if she was interested and she said no, but we were both polite about it and it was not a problem.
So either society has dramatically changed in ways I do not understand or there is more to the story than this guy is letting on. The fact that she has been so intense about it and the fact that other people are getting involved makes me think he is actually being creepy and weird in ways he did not share in his post.
So is this me?
