What is a cooking related red flag in a relationship?

One time, my boyfriend’s brother and sister-in-law were visiting from out of state. We had just moved into our apartment so I wanted to host a dinner with them. I made pasta aglio e olio for them and I set out bread, butter, and wine to tide them over. At the time I thought that was fancy. My boyfriend’s father also came over; this was the first time that we hosted his family.

The cooking process was taking a little more time than I anticipated and dinner was about a half hour late. And I caught a glimpse of my boyfriend’s father making a very irritated face while waving his hands, muttering, “Any time now?”

I get hangriness but it was just so rude to me. I have not invited him over since.
