I saved up my money in 1999 and bought Donkey Kong 64 on New Years Eve 99/2000.

I remember being disappointed it wasn't a sidescroller like the DKC series. I was completely entertained by Donkey Kong ass cheeks spreading every single time you pressed the "Z" button.

Had a blast with that game. The worst/best part was I paid for the game myself at the store, we drove 50 minutes to get home and all that was in the box was the expansion pack. Thankfully my mother (the good in this story) drove us both back and after arguing back and forth with the people behind the counter, they finally checked the drawer and there was indeed a DK64 cartridge in there.

$100 well spent in my opinion. It might even have been $120, I can't remember.
