(I am male) In the 7th grade, in chorus, we were doing an activity with music notes. I got partnered with two other people (one being the male and the other being a female) and we sat in the back of the room to complete this activity. Since the female did band or orchestra (people say it as if they are different), she knew what she was doing.

So for the next five or ten minutes she did a lot of the work, occassionally going to me and the male in our group so we could participate. When we finished and the teacher declared the activity completed, she raised her hand to high five the other guy, while I sat back and looked away.

"High five!" I looked towards her direction and she was facing me with her hand up, signalling me to high five. I hesitated, mainly because I don't high five other people that isn't a comrade or family member. Two seconds pass, and I delievered. That made my day, particularly because no one really high fives me that isn't family or a comrade. That's how I found my crush.

Aftermath: I learned two days later that she was in my French class, which made me enjoy French a tiny bit, but ultimately didn't change. In eighth grade, we were partnered in French, and once we completed the assignment, again she raised her hand for me to high five. This time, I didn't hesitate to deliver.
