What is the 'European dream' (if there's one)?

For me it is very simple. On a Friday, after work, we'll take the car to a supermarket and buy beer, wine, barbecue food, some snacks and whatever else we might want. Then we'll drive to the summer house half an hour away, just secluded enough so it's in the edge of the forest but central enough so it's possible to walk to the little grocery shop if it's very necessary. We'll sit on the terrace until sundown drinking beer, wine, cooking some foods. Maybe some neighbours pop by and we share a laugh and some food. Next morning, we do the same but we'll probably go swimming in a lake as well. We go home on Sunday, clean the apartment and relax until work begins on Monday.

For me, the "dream" is to be able to disconnect from my work obligations in the city and enjoy the sounds and smells of the countryside. When I lived in Oslo I was lucky enough to have the forest literally outside my door and I'd bring a tent and enjoy the nature for a few weekends in the summer and autumn. Here in Brno we've got a summer house as mentioned above and I always look forward to disconnecting there. No Internet connection except 4G, many books to choose from, a garden where blackberries, strawberries and other funnier plants grows easily. Basically just a stress free zone.
