What exactly was Hitler's plan?

...to treat the natives like redskins

...the Fuhrer has declared that Leningrad shall be obliterated from the face of the Earth; the problem of feeding the indigenous population is one that could not, and should not, be solved by us.

A. Bullock "Hitler: A Study in Tyranny".

Vide "The Hunger Plan". Hitler's goal was to create a super-colossal Germany with "East Elbe" estates that extended to the Urals. These estates would be populated by "Volksdeutsche" (German-Speaking) farmers. The natives, the "Ostvolk" Poles, Ukrainians, Balts, and Russians would simply be worked/starved to death, in much the same way as the Jewish population was; perhaps some would subsist as slaves to the pure Germanic Settlers with an SS Knighthood to keep the slaves to heel and to ensure that Russians stayed East of the Urals.

The West wasn't really supposed to get involved: Either they would stand aloof, or ally themselves with Germany. Hitler was fascinated with British India where a tiny number of White Nordics held in thrall a vast population of non-Whites (or to use the vile Nazi expression "subhumans"). Hitler proposed that Britain keep her Empire while Germany had her own Empire in the East and dominated Europe.

Presumably Italy was to have the Med., perhaps Egypt too?

However, the plan was abruptly modified in 1939; back on course in 1941; and hopelessly derailed after 1943.

One thought that makes me shudder: The Holocaust, with at least 11 millions murdered, was as nothing to what was planned. Many Russians were gassed; had Stalingrad fallen, had the Russians capitulated, then the dead would have probably numbered 30 to 50 millions, possibly even more. Auschwitz would have begun processing Ostvolk in their tens of millions once the Jews were obliterated.

Thank God he failed in his plan.
