I can't stand the whole LGBT+ pride and all that bullshit, even though I technically am part of the group. I hate labels, but to anyone other than myself I'd be labeled bisexual. It really bugs me how we force the fucking issues down everyone's throats which just harbors animosity.
The hatred for Catholicism really bothers me, as well. I have never heard anything that bashed gay people in all my years of going to church and Catholic school. There is nothing in the Bible that I know of that specifically says that being gay is wrong and God hates gay people. You know why God smited Sodom? Because they were shitty fucking people who treated foreigners like shit and wanted to rape an angel, not because they were gay.
What really turned me off to the whole Gay pride shit was the whole St. Paddy's Day parade bullshit a few years ago where an LGBT+ group protested because they weren't allowed in the New York parade, and they claimed it was because they are gay. No, it is because being gay has nothing to do with Irish pride. There already is a gay pride parade, why do you need to fucking hijack the Irish pride parade? De Blasio (who I think is a phony who is only concerned with being popular) boycotted the parade and the parade lost a bunch of sponsors who had been sponsoring it for decades.
All this bullshit that the LGBT+ groups are doing just makes people hate us more and makes it harder for a guy like me to be open with people. Imagine if there was a straight pride parade. It would be considered incredibly homophobic. Morgan Freeman raised a similar issue with the idea of Black History month. Tupac even said in Changes:
We gotta make a change... It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live and let's change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we gotta do, to survive.
The same idea applies to gay people. We can't perpetuate the stereotypes and expect people to like us more.
Sorry for the rant. It just blows my mind that a group focused on equality tries to fuck everyone else over.
