This is the story of how 8-10 year old me didn't have a gaydar.

When I was like 10 I was friends with this girl named Mariah (name changed, also about 10). I'm really socially awkward so when she came up to me asking if we could be friends at school I couldn't really say no, and that started the awkward friendship between Kat and Mariah.

Well eventually her mom and my mom became friends as well, which meant we constantly got together for sleepovers and hangouts and stuff.

Whenever I went to her house for a sleepover, she always had to use the shower for some reason. I was going to stay in her bedroom and wait, but she insisted that I came inside the bathroom and just sit there. Even when I was still in the room but off to the side, she'd make me move so I was in front of the shower so I could see her silhouette behind the shower curtain. And she wanted me to stay in the room when she got out too.

She'd try to show me her vagina a lot too, like for instance she was like "my parents call me hairybutt. do you wanna know why?" and little innocent me was like "um sure" so she pulled down her pants and showed me her unshaved crotch. And I was like "thats not your butt but ok"

She'd also try to lick me on several occasions. When I complained to my dad that she licked me, he commented "first it's your arm, and then..." I had no idea girls that liked girls existed so I was confused and just brushed it off.

Just now I'm realizing how fucking gay Mariah was.

Also, I was having a costume party with two other girls when I was like 8. One was a friend (well, the kid of my mom's friend, so a "friend", let's call her Olivia) and the other was her friend. Both about the same age as me.

Well we were hanging out in Olivia's bedroom, playing board games, when she says "Here's an idea! Let's have a nude contest! We all get naked, and try to gross each other out. Whoever is the grossest wins!" And so Olivia's friend was like "um I'll pass..." but I was like "Yeah! I can be gross! You're going down!"

So Olivia started, and was like shaking her butt and stuff. I went next, and while I was trying to be weird Olivia was like "you can be grosser!" while her friend (the only rational one) was looking away in shame. So I go all out. I'm not getting into details but it involved several female holes being spread.

About a year later I was like "wait... that was so fucked up"

Funny how when I thought I was straight, I get lesbians surrounding me constantly, but now that I realize I'm pan, suddenly everyone and their dog is straight.
