What lost its appeal as you grew older?

When you are yelled at on the street at night, harassed in school and the workplace, followed home, stared at like a piece of meat, told that you are "obligated" to have sex with a man because they did something "nice" for you (or you "led them on") and have them turn violently angry when you say no, try to fucking rape/molest you when you don't consent to sex with them, have had a guy forcefully put their hands on you/kiss you/stand between you and the door so you cannot leave, try to drug you so they can rape you, be called a "cunt", "hardass", "bitch", "whore" and yelled at when you say no, and have feared for your general safety when you are around a man (over and over again), then you can come back and be offended that women might be intimidated by your gender. Every single one of these things has happened to me by different guys at different times, multiple times. Every girl I know has a story/stories, and they have all been forever scarred. There are literally fraternities here who roofie girls and then take pictures of them naked and rape them! We get an email every week about another girl getting molested/raped by a "male non-stranger". Sexual assault is so prevalent on our campus. Nobody reports it or does anything about it because there is so much victim blaming and slut shaming here. The police don't care, so nobody ever gets arrested for it. So how about you stop being such a man baby and understand that there are a lot of traumatized women out there who have been hurt and done wrong by men so much, that they are scared of all of them. These guys look like any average guy, you know. Obviously not every guy is bad, but every woman has had bad experiences. So stop mansplaining that you know better. You will never understand what the fear is like until it's happened to you. I will be scared of men as much as I see fit thank you very much. /rant
