Two or three days after our son was born we had to go to the doctors office for a weight check and what not. We were so sleep deprived. Way past tired and into this weird, highly caffeinated, everything is funny, stage.

We are sitting their waiting for the doctor to come in. My husband just randomly starts laughing. I ask what is so funny. He said “I’m just thinking about how funny it would be if the doctor walked in and was like “surprise mother fucker!” like Doakes from Dexter” Then we both start absolutely losing it. We can’t even speak from laughing. As soon as we could catch our breath he would say “surprise mother fucker!” and we would lose it again. It was funny, but it was funnier in our loopy sleep deprived state.

The doctor finally walked in, didn’t say surprise mother fucker, but both of us could not stop giggling. She probably thought we were nuts. I think this was the hardest I have ever laughed in my life.
