Hmm... I don't remember that many WW2 movies.

There was a movie when a young scout soldier brought good intel to the base but met a half naked old dude that got angry that the soldier didn't greet him properly. The soldier replied that he can't greet someone properly if they don't wear proper uniform.

The old guy was a prideful officer and he got angry, asked the soldier's name and promised to deal with him.

Everyone at the base knew that the soldier was very talented but they couldn't do anything with the officer and instead they found an old guy who had the same surname and forced him to take the blame and to get punished.

I don't remember where it was from though.
