What is the most unexplained, supernatural, or paranormal event you've ever witnessed?

I was in Massachusetts for a business meeting at the Concord Inn, a historic place from the revolutionary war. I stayed in the basement near the kitchen in one of the corner rooms by the stairwell. One night I was woken by a stench of propane. It was so strong that I felt I needed to say or do something. I went to the front desk to find someone. If you've ever been there it is a creepy place to walk the halls in the middle of the night - stuff dreams are made of. They have two sections to the hotel and one was an older section you had to cross through with paintings of George Washington and the likes.

I finally get to the front desk and was greeted by a man in a tuxedo. I felt it was rather strange but this was a historic hotel and it was ruffled like the Seinfeld puffy shirt. I told the man about the stench of propane and he said he would come to check it out with me. We walked down the halls of the hotel as we causually conversed, telling me I have nothing to worry about the smell and it's probably nothing.

At this point we get to my room and the smell is terrible! He tells me he "doesnt smell a thing!" and to "Have a good night, don't worry about anything"

I was a bit confused at that moment because I was about to call the fire department with the smell that bad!

He turns and walks away and up the stairs waving, smiling, telling me everything going to be ok.

Called my brother right after to discuss options and he told me not to google the Concord Inn. I found a ton of ghost stories and ghosts that smell like propane. The stench got stronger while I was on the computer and that's when I flipped shit. I wanted out of that room - it smelled so bad and I felt a presence. I had all my lights on and I'll never forget the view from this room. It was in the basement during a blizzard. I went back upstairs to complain again to puffy man in the tuxedo. I rang the little hotel doorbell thingie once, twice, and still no one. No one was there, not the man in the Tux or anyone. It was pretty late too around 3AM so I went back downstairs to try to sleep.

Kept all the lights on, woke up the next morning and went to the front desk. I noticed everyone was dressed in business causel attire. Khakis and a black collared shirt that said Concord Inn. There was nobody there in formal clothing. My stomach sank, my face turned pale and I realized I walked the halls with the stench himself...
