What is the most unsettling/ confusing/ unexplainable or terrifying case (solved or unsolved) you’ve stumbled across?

this is one of the most horrific crimes i’ve ever come across, but i hate how whenever it comes up on true crime forums now, some racist comes out to use this horrible crime to paint japanese people as cold, emotionless monsters devoid of empathy and claim this is a crime that could only ever happen in japan. dude, the reason everyone “looked the other way” was because they were being threatened by the FUCKING MAFIA. these people know absolutely nothing about the personal situations of these “bystanders” or what pressure they were under because these people WERE NOT FUCKING THERE. people who’ve never suffered or even been witness to violence love to look at crimes like this and jerk themselves off to the fantasy that they would do “better” than the “bystanders” in situations like these, even if they have to paint entire cultures they know absolutely jack fucking shit about as sociopaths so they can feel better than them.

junko deserved and deserves better.
