What "One Weird Trick" does a profession actually hate?

Here's the thing though: the system we have is the result of human nature. We have all the resources to conduct all the training we need, enforce all the rules we need, promote all the incentives we need. Its clearly not a matter of lacking resources. And it's clearly not a matter of lack of enthusiasm, seeing how strong you and so many other people feel. Its just the logical conclusion of human nature.

And that's all I can think of when I see such vague posts likes yours that say nothing more than "things should be better" with no actual specifics. Like... Yes, we know they should. But they aren't for a reason. And it's because that reason is that it goes against human nature.

Tell you what... As soon as you figure out how to make people less selfish, less tribal, less brutal, less vengeful... In short, less human... Then you can tell the police how to conduct themselves.

Until then, please spare us all the vague, meaningless platitudes.
