My rule with new native app functionality is that it must be measurable. Third-party developers continually pushed out test versions without measurement. One day I had finally seen it enough and in a weekly status meeting said the following.

What is so hard for XYZ Dev (they were also on the call) that they cannot understand that no new functionality goes out that we can't measure. Do we need to tell XYZ Dev to wipe their ass whenever they take a shit? No. XYZ Dev knows to wipe their ass. You take a shit, you wipe your ass. You add new functionality, you add measurement. What don't they understand about this?

We didn't have an issue with lack of measurement after that.
