What’s the most/worst you’ve gone along with in medicine in order to get along?

I did part of my residency in another country. I spoke the language perfectly but had a little accent which -apparently-was perceived as adorable or something.

So while I was on a GI-Rotation, I was off the ward except for a few beds I had to take over from Endocrinology because they were short staffed. They had nephro rounds once a week and I remember that my five or so patients didn't have any renal problems, yet I was for some reason called up to the ward to present my patients in the nephrology round. This was of course a huge inconvenience since it didn't serve a purpose and I had more that enough work. But what are you gonna do as a resident. I went there, waited my turn and presented my patients. Once I had finished, the attending turned to the nephro-docs and told them "I know those patients aren't nephrologically interesting but I didn't want you guys to miss out on happy-go-lucky's adorable accent when they're presenting patients." I felt like a circus animal and just stared in at the attending in disbelief. She quickly caught her misstep and apologized. But still.....
