What is something nice you'd like to say to your fellow Americans?

I make small talk with strangers at the store or the gas station. I have friends who are as far right-wing as you can get, and friends who are basically all the way to the left... and then everywhere in between. I'm friends with atheists, devote Christians, evangelicals, Muslim, Jewish people. My best friend is bi, I'm straight, I'm friends with gay and lesbian people. I have family and friends in the military. I have conservative, capitalist, materialist family, and then an uncle who lives in a solar powered adobe house and practices buddhism. While our country has a lot of room to improve, and there will always be work to be done, the sheer diversity of people in my life is something truly spectacular, and it's also not necessarily something as common elsewhere in the world. It shouldn't be taken for granted!
