I unknowingly drove through the 2011 Zanesville Ohio exotic animal escape as authorities are on the scene hunting down the animals.

While kayaking alone in a small river in Ohio I was resting along the water edge eating lunch when I heard an animal plash into the water from the other side and continue to run. I look over expecting to see a deer but what I saw was what had to have been a coyote (since I was in Ohio) however it was so large that it ran clear across the creek without needing to swim. I immediately started trying to think of anything sharp I had available to protect myself and it ran right by me, never even glancing at me. It was so large that I lean more towards thinking it was a wolf-dog than a coyote, but the fact that I was in the middle of the woods and it didn't even acknowledge me also make me lean toward it being a wild animal.
