My wife. We have been 'married' for coming up 24 years this June, but our marriage ended years before - I haven't the heart to tell my 89 year old mum. I never really had that much money growing up, and neither did she but her dad was rather wealthy - just a tight arse. I only had about £400 total savings to my name, but she had a little more, a few thousand. The best thing was, this girl, the 21 year old cute bank clerk was willing to share her money with me. When you're kids and together, it's the best, you have no worries and we had none. We got married in 1991, and had our first kid in 1994. We were still using the joint bank account that we had opened all those years ago to continue funding her lives, but we both also had our own savings accounts that we put money in from our respective jobs if anything major happened.
