Akatsuki no Yona (1-24/24) MILD SPOILERS!

Story:
This was a really enjoyable show right from the start till the end. The premise looked really interesting but they barely touched it SO FAR. The whole season felt like a big build up to a much much bigger event. Hopefully, they do make a second season to display that said event. The romance in the show is pretty good too. Nothing forced. The development was steady and apparent.

Visuals:
The visuals are pretty good. Character designs, especially Yona's, were very appealing. If I were to rate her design, this is what it would look like:

Yona w/ Long Hair = 10/10
Yona w/ Improperly Cut Hair = 10/10
Yona w/ Short Hair = 10/10
Yona in general = 11/10

The background scenery fit the era they're trying to depict and the fights looked good. Yona's bloodlust stare, in particular, looked AMAZING. I always got chills down my spine whenever I saw it.

Sounds:
The sound of the anime is just very well done. Emotional scenes had emotional music, epic scenes had epic music and relaxing scenes had relaxing music. There were times that it got a little too loud though. From what I've seen in the discussion threads, people seem to dislike the 2nd OP. In my opinion, it was just alright. Not as good as the first OP but it's still pretty damn good.

As expected of Chiwa Saito, she voiced her character very well. Those fucking painful shrieks when Yona broke down hit me really hard.

Enjoyment:
This was a very, very enjoyable ride. It could've been handled better but it was good judging on what it showed. Nothing really special but still better than 70% of the anime I've watched. If they were to make a second season, this series would definitely be up there in my favorites.

Additional Note: I here this show being regarded as a reverse harem anime but from what I've seen, only like, 2 of them has actual romantic interest in Yona.
