I was about 10-12 yr old range and remember my family and and a buddy of mine were out in the middle of a large lake, on the pontoon boat, cat fishing during the summer one night. It was clear, stars out and a few other boaters were around us probably 75-100 yds apart. The lake was calm, almost like glass, no wave wakes, no wind.

Anyways, we spotted a row of red lights rise of up above the tree line in a cove nearby. Like 4-5 distinct red lights, in a straight line, evenly spaced, moving in an upward motion, in unison. My mom and dad were asking each other what they were. Dad was focused on them and said something along the lines of, I have no fucking clue what they are.

All of a sudden there was a flash of red light, a large burst of air came out of nowhere, the boat started rocking violently and what felt like only a couple of minutes, the lake was calm like glass again, no air movement and the lights were gone. There was no noise when the lights disappeared.

Even the other boaters were yelling at us asking wtf just happened. We were stunned by what happened. That's the one I remember the most. I think mom and my dad asked some people and they thought my mom and dad was exaggerating it. There wasn't any storms or bad weather in the area. We didn't talk about it much afterwards because we didn't know what happened. I remember I ran under the table attachment in the boat for safety. Looking back now, that table wasn't going to protect me, my buddy and my sister from anything and we called it quits on fishing that night.
