What was the worst advice you have ever received?

We do have great healthcare, and you can buy "soft" painkillers over the counter, but if you want something like Ibuprofen 600mg you need a doctor's note. That's why I'm saying that doctors here simply do not hand out pills that can be addictive, unless you consider ibuprofen an addictive drug, that is (which it is not). But people are getting so weird over it. I have never in my life heard of anyone addicted to painkillers, opioids, benzos and stuff like that. To us it's a shock to hear in America doctors give out medicine that gets patients hooked. I had a family member with a terminal disease who was in a lot of pain, and being an extreme case they gave him morphine for the pain, and that was an exceptional case and it was super controlled, only the nurses could administer it and we couldn't even take the patches home.

That's why I said those medicines are hyper regulated, so you don't ever hear of anyone addicted to drugs/medicine.
