What was the worst thing that happened today at work?

So basically my boss would tell us to Cc her on every outgoing e-mail. The only problem is she micromanages and stops people from being effectliv when she readys their emails and freaks out when they are doing what they havent been trained to do.

Couple months ago I was at court and had to draft a pleading on the spot for a sex offender. They have to fingerprint the document and it lets them know their obligations and what not:

We needed this to make his gulty plea effective.

Attorney I was with didnt know how the fuck to do this and the judge keot pressuring us to send it in.

I draft it up complicit with the statutory requirements and send it to the judge's assistant and send it over via email so it can get printed and we fingerprint the rapist.

The document never got fild by the court as it shouldnt so today we got send an email asking for the filed version and I straight up told my boss all the events, the fact that I didnt Cc her, and how ultimately it was the courts fault that the filing got missed.

The best part os I have so much job security I can piss on it. Many agencies in the ar a have been trying to poach me.

The rapist's guilty plea is effective.

My boss will forgive me and I wont get fired cause that place is too depressing to work at and everyone keeps quitting.

We stay there cause we want to keep people safe.

But the worst part is having to break the rules so people are safe. Will I sleep happy tonight? Yes.

Will the victim of that rape ever forget him? Probably not. And thats the shit I cant forget about when I get home.
