A guy I worked with had an affair with a married woman. One night the husband found them together. He shot my co-worker with a shotgun blowing his shoulder off and scarring half of his face. He shot and killed the wife as she fled down the stairs. This is the story people at work told me when I asked about his gruesome scars. They all talked about the husband swore he would finish the job one day. He did. Got out of jail and within 2 weeks found my co-worker at a bar and shot him in a parking lot. This time he died. I think about how my co-worker had something like 10 years to disappear as that guy sat in prison and instead stayed in that tiny town where the guy easily found him.
