What is your best "Hold on, it gets worse" stories?

Met my youngest sister in Florida for vacation. I had a red eye flight to Orlando and had to wait 3 hours for her flight to land. I was exhausted. I then had to get the rental car and drive 45 mins to the hotel. We were too early so we had to kill time for 6 hours. Finally get to the hotel to find that it is filthy and the loudest place I've ever been to. Due to the filth I tell the front counter I'm not staying there. Booked another hotel. At this point I've been up for over 24 hrs. Finally get settled into the hotel room and order dinner. Younger sister is diabetic. Claims she doesn't feel well. Starts puking and having horrid stomach cramps. Have to call my mom to see what to do. Sister needs to drink water to flush ketones. She refuses to drink the water because she's sick to the stomach. Mom tells me not to let her fall asleep. She claims she can't stay awake. Sister then starts freaking out saying her body is numb. Had to call 911 for an ambulance. Drive to the hospital. Spend 4 hrs in hospital and am told they have to transfer her to another hospital. 2 am I am at a children's hospital. She is asleep so I go back to the hotel to get a few hrs of sleep. After 2 days she's good to go. Drive 2 hrs to our beach condo. She ends up being homesick and hating the trip. Note: I paid for everything. The day comes to fly home. We have different flights on opposite sides of the terminal. I only have my credit card so I tell her to stock up on water and snacks. Flight was supposed to leave in 2 hrs. Both flights get delayed. She starts feeling ill due to her sugar dropping. She ate all her snacks. She has no way of getting anything else. I try to get emergency personnel to bring her food, as I wouldn't make it to her in time. They refuse. We finally meet half way and I stock her up again. 3 hours later my flight leaves and I never looked back.
