My girlfriend at the time was leaving the United States for a teaching job in China. We had only been dating for about 6 or 7 months, but we both knew we had something special. We decided to do the long distance thing and we would be able to talk every day, but it was just such a bummer having just started something great and suddenly not being able to physically see each other. I remember after the point that I couldn't keep walking with her through the airport, I kept hoping she would change her mind and come running back, but it didn't happen. Eventually I got tired of the long distance thing, so I visited her and proposed on top of the Great Wall. We've been married and living in China for about 4 years now.
