What is your reason for not having a child?

My mom had me (M18) and my brother (20) at a young age and never really lived her life. She was dealing with an abusive relationship with my dad and didn't get to finish her beauty school because my dad was a dick back then. She ended up taking care of both of us working at nursing homes and taking care of old people on top of my dad not doing anything to help. She was so invested in both of us so much that she lost her free time. I don't wanna follow in her steps because I feel like we ruined her 20s because she couldn't do the things she wanted but I also blame my dad. Abuse too has been around on my dads side of the family. For the past 3 generations, the wives have been abused and I'm afraid of continuing the cycle. That being said once I start my job I wanna geta vasectomy.
