One of my friends wrote “I’m gonna kill our English teacher” or something on Facebook after a big assignment or something.

The next day it turned out the police got involved, and he was suspended for a week or so.

While he was gone (it was a boarding school), his girlfriend had a threesome with another girl and her boyfriend and filmed it, then showed it to all of their friends.

It turned out the English teacher in question thought the whole thing was stupid and a dumb mistake from a teenager who didn’t understand how serious things people write on the internet can be and advocated to have his punishment reduced.

It also turned out the it was actually my friend’s dad who got the cops involved, because his parents had gotten divorced and his dad wanted to get back at him for something petty.
