What was your worst roommate ever like and why were they the worst?

This is all the same gal.

  1. Drove me to a party, and left me there. I didn't know anyone, and I didn't know where I was, and I didn't know she had left.

  2. Ate my food.

  3. Never did ANY dishes.

  4. She didn't know how to cook, so it was all frozen meals and instant mashed potatoes in a giant bowl for her. She was "vegan" and lived off of mostly cookies and a MIXING BOWL of instant mashed potatoes every day.

  5. She left her fast food cups on the counter and never cleaned them. Dozens of cups, rotting with mildew blooming from their sides. Some of them stained the counter.

  6. She NEVER threw out any food. She had leftovers from Thanksgiving in FEBRUARY.

  7. I finally broke down and scrubbed out the refrigerator after begging her to throw out the food for weeks. I left the moldy jello pudding on the counter and had her look at it, hoping desperately she just hadn't realized how bad ALL of her food had gotten since she was living off of drive-though, and she said "Ew, thanks for throwing that away for me." And then she just left.

  8. Because of the aforementioned kitchen disasters, I didn't cook anything in the kitchen or store anything in the fridge. This is AFTER I had told her I wasn't cleaning up after her. For the first half of a year I'd eventually break under the strain of the mess and just clean it, but I vowed to force her to clean her own mess and find her limits.

  9. She had no limits.

  10. Trash piled up, because it was "her turn" to take it out, and by "her turn" I mean she'd never once taken out any garbage. I told her we were doing turns and what was up, and she piled garbage around the can after it got full.

  11. Sent me a text saying how I needed to come home from class to clean her pot, because I had cooked spaghetti in it and she had nothing clean. I told her all the dishes in the washer were clean, and all the pots drying on the side were clean, and she could use those or just wash the damn pot because I was in class.

  12. She never washed the pot.

  13. She'd borrow money and never repay it. I was ok with it because it was just a few bucks at a time, but then she drove me to work twice when I missed my bus and both times insisted I pay for gas money when she owed be $30. I handed her the $1, then asked for my $30. She then sent me frantic texts all through work crying about how I had to give her more gas money (at least $5) because she had no gas in her tank and I promised to pay her. Yeah, and I calculated it out and her car only used $1 worth of gas on that trip.

  14. She had random people just stay on our couch and wouldn't tell me about it.

  15. When she moved out after blowing her rent money on cocaine and deciding to go somewhere cheaper, she left behind her blender, and has since texted me seven times setting up dates for her to pick it up.

  16. She has flaked on every single one of those meetings. That blender makes some delicious smoothies.
